An ordained minister, Ms. Bennett cites biblical references to bolster her point. She recalls how Elijah talked about being alone in his pursuit to serve God, and God reminded him that there were 7,000 men that were similarly situated. “Using that example, we want to use this event for men to see each other, recognize each other, and be empowered by knowing, and seeing, that many men are as committed, consistent, and community focused as they are,” Ms. Bennett states.
